The second round of the Dala 7s saw defending champions Kabras RFC, Daystar Falcons, KCB, Mwamba, Menengai Oilers and Strathmore Leos book their places in the last eight following back-to-back wins on Saturday in Kisumu.
In Pool A, Catholic Monks suffered their first loss of the day as MMUST RFC beat them 17-12. Defending champions Kabras RFC had to dig deep to edge Nakuru RFC 21-14, a result that gave them control of the pool and a ticket to the quarterfinals.
Pool B action saw Kenya Harlequin bounce back with a 29-14 victory over Mombasa RFC, but it was Daystar Falcons who stole the show, running in five tries to stun Nondescripts RFC 31-12 and secure a direct place in the quarters after two wins.
In Pool C, Mwamba RFC kept their momentum with a 24-5 win over Homeboyz, while KCB RFC dominated invitation side Embu RFC 36-0.

Both sides head into the quarters unbeaten, with KCB leading the pool on points differential.
Pool D produced commanding displays as Menengai Oilers crushed Impala RFC 48-0, and Strathmore Leos overpowered hosts Kisumu RFC 36-0 to seal their quarterfinal tickets.
For Strathmore, Collins Maina opened the scoring, converted by Arnold Muita for a 7-0 lead. Victor Mola Odhiambo then added two converted tries to make it 21-0 at halftime. After the break, Stanslous Shikoli stretched the lead before Mola crossed twice more to complete a 36-0 victory.
